Tiger's Playing in the NFL
The LSU Tigers put up a nice showing for the 2012 NFL draft. The Tigers started out with six good candidates and two of those went in the top fifteen. Moris Claiborne was the first to go when the Dallas Cowboys drafted him as the number six overall pick. Claiborne leaves LSU as an accomplished cover man whose foot speed and size makes him able to step in and take on the NFL's best from day one. The Cowboys will not be disappointed with Claiborne. Second to go was Michael Brockers who was drafted by the St. Louis Rams as the number fourteen overall pick. Few defensive players have the raw athletic ability and potential as Brockers and his ability to stop the run will make him a great fit in the struggling Rams defense. Wide receiver Reuben Randall went in the second round to the New York Giants and although he may not be a household name Randall is surely to flourish in the NFL. At 6'3" and 210lbs Randall is a polished receiver who has good potential to make is mark in the big league. Safety Brandon Taylor went 73rd overall in the third round. Although Taylor is a physical safety who enjoys getting in the mix to support the run he rarely put his coverage skills to use and it will be interesting to see how he handles the speed and athleticism of the NFL. Corner Back Ron Brooks was the last to go, going to the Buffalo Bills (124th overall) in the fourth round. Brooks is a scrappy player who although undersized is able to make his presence known. It will be interesting to see how he shines in the NFL. I am very excited to see how these Tigers will fair in the NFL but I am even more excited to see the 2012 Tigers make their way to another National Championship run. Spring Football!
LSU's 2012 Spring Football game wasn't perfect but it was successful. Zach Mettenberger gave Tiger fans
something to look forward to in the upcoming season. He finished the game with 270 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions but the stats don't tell the whole story. It was a beautiful sight to see
Mettenberger drop back and throw one deep pass after another. Something Tiger fans haven't seen in a long time. For once the receivers were given the opportunity to have a big day and we were able to see what play- makers on the outside could do for a change. Jarvis Landry led all receivers with 120 yards while Odell Beckham Jr. wasn't far behind with 115 yards and a touchdown reception. I realize that this was just a spring game but after losing to Alabama 21-0 in the Championship game this is exactly what LSU fans needed to see. I am very excited about the upcoming season. If coach Miles lets Mettenberger do his thing in the regular season then it is possible the Tigers will be in another Championship game. There is no doubt in my mind the Tigers offense is going to explode this year and I am going to be there to see it. I always get my tickets early by using www.BigWillTickets.com. They have an excellent selection of both season tickets and individual games for all LSU events and they never disappoint! Geaux Tigers!

Pay to Park
The price for parking on campus for LSU football games is going up in some areas. This will be the second consecutive year the school has raised prices. The changes will take place in lots for non-renewable passes. Some of the pass prices will be doubled while others will increase by as much as twenty-five percent. Either way you will have to pay a pretty penny to park on campus for a Tiger football game. It is truly ridiculous how the prices keep rising. Even the lots where you were able to park for free will now become pay to park lots. Lots that once charged per game parking fees will no longer be available and you will have to purchase a season pass to park in them. Things will be changing in the parking wars at Tiger Stadium but I am not that concerned. I always get my parking passes with BigWillTickets.com. They have a great selection of passes and have excellent prices. It's great to be able to depend on them rather then fight the traffic and crowds. I can't wait for the new season to begin! Spring Practice Begins!
Spring is on the way and the Tigers are ready to play football! Practice begins today with dates scheduled for tomorrow and three times per week throughout the month of March. The spring football game will be played on Saturday the 31st of March. This is a long awaited date after the crushing lost to the Alabama Crimson Tide in the BCS National Championship (Ugh! I hate to even think of that game.). I am lookoning forward to seeing Zach Mettenberger in action and to also seeing how the Tigers will cope with the lost of players such as Morris Claiborne, Rueben Randall, and Michael Brockers. Spring practice and football might not be able to answer those questions but hopefully it will gives some insight on the plannings of coach Les Miles. Will he allow Mettenberger to flourish as the quarterback that he is supposedly capable of being? Or will he micro-manage Mettenberg's every action and prevent him from being the true leader that the Tigers are deserving of? We probably won't know these answers until well into next season but I am still excited that the Tigers are taking the field again and the future is looking bright! Fayetteville Here We Come
LSU's regular season finale against the Arkansas Razorbacks has been moved to Fayetteville. For the first time since 1994 LSU will take on the Hogs in Donald Reynold's Razorback stadium. It will mark the second time in the 57 game history between the two teams that the Tigers will meet the Razorbacks in Fayetteville. The only other time came in 1992 when the Razorbacks beat the Tigers in what was the Razorbacks first season in the SEC. Donald Reynolds stadium is on the campus of the University of Arkansas and seats over 72,000 as opposed to the off campus War Memorial stadium in Little Rock that only seats approximately 54,000. This will be the second unfamiliar location for the Tigers to play in 2012. They will also take on the Texas A&M Aggies in Kyle Field, a venue that the Tigers haven't played in since 1995. Where ever they play, I feel the Tigers will give it their all. Be sure to get your tickets early for all of your LSU Tiger's football games by using BigWillTickets.com. Geaux Tigers!

Future Looks Bright!
The 2012 recruiting season has ended and the Tigers have finished 12th in the Nation. The class may not be exactly what the fans hoped for but it didn't end as badly as some might think. The Tigers may not have landed Gunner Kiel or Landon Collins but they did land some pretty impressive players. It seems the Tigers have a knack for finding diamonds in the rough. The Tigers made it a priority to fill the holes and improve the quality of the linebacker position. That being said, the Tigers signed six players that can play in the linebacker position and landing Kwon Alexander and Lorenzo Philips was huge for the Tigers. The Tigers also landed offensive tackle Vadal Alexander, wide receiver Avery Johnson, and running back Jeremy Hill. This class may not be in the top ten but there is more here than meets the eye. The Tigers have filled some positions they needed to fill and they added to some already strong positions. This may not have been the best ever recruiting class for the LSU Tigers but it certainly is far from the worst. It's time to get excited about next year's Tigers! The future is looking bright! Back in Business
I've just gotten to the point where I can talk about LSU football again. It took me a while to get over this one. I suppose all I can do now is move on to next year. Which, by the way, looks promising. LSU returns 16 starters next year ( 8 offense, 6 defense, and 2 specialists.) This includes a trio of All-Americans, cornerback Tyrann Mathieu, defensive end Sam Montgomery, and punter Brad Wing. The Tigers will also return four top running backs and it's second leading receiver. The biggest news however is that the Tigers will have a new quarterback next year. This is something that I have looked forward to for quit some time. I am hoping with the play of Zach Mettenberger the Tigers will develop an offense that is well rounded in both the running and passing game. Something they lacked in the National Championship. It will be interesting to see if Coach Miles will integrate a passing game into the offense and if his play calling will go beyond that of the option. I am a glass is half full kinda gal but I am still struggling with this one. I am unsure if Coach Miles learned his lesson in the Championship game but I a am hopeful he will take the advice of many and make the changes necessary when it comes to the Tiger's offense. Next year looks to be a good one, lets hope it pans out that way. Geaux Tigers!

Beat Bama
The day is finally here. It's time for LSU to take the field and Roll that Tide right out of the Superdome. After a season rife with off-field distractions all LSU has to do now is do what they have done for the past 13 games, and that is win. A win tonight in the BCS Championship game would give LSU their 3rd BCS title and could possibly put the Tigers as the best college football team ever. The Tigers have overcome numerous obstacles before and during the season to get to where they are today. From a coach diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, to a bar fight that made national news, to three other suspensions that cost the Tigers five players, the Tigers haven't faltered. They still rank with the number two defense in the nation, have an outstanding special teams unit and have a power running game that provided more than enough points, an SEC-leading 38.5 per game. LSU now needs to get past Alabama's number one defense and show the Tide who the true champions are. All that is left for this game is to hear the Tigers roar as they hold up the crystal ball. Geaux Tigers! Beat Bama!

Tigers Ready to Get Game Started
The LSU Tigers are ready to get Monday night's BCS National Championship game started. After their first practice on the Superdome turf and a media day on Friday morning the Tigers will continue to practice Friday afternoon and are anxious to get to Monday. The game is expected to be a tough one and the Tigers are eager to prove they are truly the best college football team ever. Will the Game be another defensive match up or will the offensive units of the Tigers and Tide show up to play? We won't find out to Monday night but whatever happens you can be assured the Tigers will be ready. Coach Les Miles and defensive coordinator John Chavis have done an excellent job preparing the Tigers defense for anything that they might face. The Tigers have allowed 10.5 points and 252.1 yards per game in rolling to a 13-0 record. The LSU offense has a lot to owe to their team's defense. Because of the defense, the offense hasn't had far to travel in order to score and they come in 12th in scoring even though they rank 59th in yards per game. If the Tiger defense shows up Monday night we can be assured that the Tigers chance of success will increase significantly. With this said I can't wait to be cheering on the sidelines as the Tigers are crowned three time National Champions!
